The Mysterious Others were born from the marriage of imagination and reality. There are textures, colors, plants and animals that I am drawn to and at any given moment, they speak to my senses. I follow them, like a bread crumb trail, to encounter the beings that reside in hidden places. Just out of view of everyday awareness. 

When I'm in communication with the Mysterious Others, I write down impressions, sketch fleeting imagery and sometimes just sit in silence as they whisper and nudge. Then, back in my studio, my hands work lovingly to create dolls, figurines and illustrations of these whimsical creatures. I like to use a variety of mediums to bring them to life. Wool, fabric, faux plants and flowers, stones and beads. 

The completed piece is like a talisman.  Imbued with intention and meant to inspire on many levels. 

My artwork is an expression of my personal journey and perspective. It changes and flows as I grow and learn. Connecting with people who resonate with my work is like meeting family members from a forgotten magical world. I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for being here.
